Topic: How do you prepare your home for a date | |
---|---|
When I have a date and he is coming to pick me up I usually have to rush to clean up any clutter and quickly clean my home. I know I do not HAVE to this but it's just something I always do. How do you prepare your home if a date is coming??

I pick up the clothes laying all around. And make sure my bed is unmade

I would have my place clean. He may need to use the bathroom too. First impressions count.

Hmmm.
The last woman that I picked up at her home for a date has four young girls. I went in knowing that the chances of the house being spotless were pretty slim. My first impression of the house??? 5 females live there. A bit of clutter, but nothing major. I really don't concern myself a whole lot about how the house looks when I pick someone up. I am not there to date their house. |

i always make sure everything is clean!
but that's how i usually keep my things haha. |

I make sure i put the toilet seat down.

I always made sure that I took my own car and met any date I had at some pre-arranged spot.
I don't want to be obligated for a ride home if the date went poorly, nor did I want someone who might have creeped me out knowing where I live. The only dates that were allowed to my home where those with whom I were already friends. |

I move the bodies into the cellar...no one wants to stay for dinner after seeing them.

I take them to a new house that just got built & say what do ya think, I just bought this

It would be counter-productive by giving the wrong impression that you are a slob. Unless he is into slobs.....

I do the same. Pick up any clothes lying around, put my kids' toys away, make sure all my makeup and hair stuff is off the bathroom counter.
Things like that can get away from me when I'm busy dealing with the kids, so when it's just us at home, as long as it's clean, I don't mind if it's a little messy. |

Don't open Fibber McGee's closet, you'll kill yourself. Is that where all the porn is kept? |

I keep my house fairly neat and clean most of the time anyway so there's no rushing around trying to impress. But I'd probably have to sweep up the hair balls from my big hairy beast. And I'd burn some scented candles. I might even have some dinner ready if he's been working long and hard and doesn't feel like going out.
At all times, I try to keep my house clean. That's just how I like it. Friends can drop by and I'm never embarrassed to have them come in and "set a spell". My minivan is always clean and ready for a road trip as well. Likewise, I try to keep myself clean and ready for company. I fix my hair and put on my makeup each morning, before I do anything else. I've always been this way. So when I date, there is no pretense. What he sees is what he gets--today and a year from now. |
