Nope, and thats really the last thing I want to do. I have always been very strong mentally and emotionally and some how I feel like pills are just not the answer for me.

What do you do when you're burnt out on life?
There is so much bringing me down right now that I just don't see the light at the end of the tunnel. I am not a pessimistic or negative person, but it all feels a bit overwhelming right now, and I am having a hard time dealing with the fact that most of it seems to be outside of my control.

I'm there with you too

Myka, I know a little bit about depression. I was diagnosed with what they call "situational depression" (when my husband died) which is due to a specific event or events. It is different from clinical depression. Meds might not be needed. Sometimes just finding a prof counselor to speak to a few times does help.

There is no better medicine for depression, than having friends and hanging out with friends.

Talk to people, anyone really. That is what has helped me anyway, it is a slow and gradual process. I'm not inherently negative either, but it is difficult with all that goes on around me that is outside my control...stiff upper-lip, head cocked high, one foot in front of the other.flowerforyou

I'm curious if guys ever feel this way. Or is it just something they would refer to as a "woman" thing...or, if any of them would even ever confess to feeling it if they did....

I've felt this way since about February 2nd, for whatever that's worth....

Yeah, sorry, but Im with gay.. Counsiling, medication.. when your leg is broke, noone hassles you over using crutches, or having a cast. People need to dr theyre mind just like theyre heart,, and soul, body, spirituality.

Your description sounds like a commercial for depression help... get some. I did, and it works.
