Who are they? Did they write some of your favorite philosophy books?
I'm curious because I'm really into philosophy ever since I took it last semester and I'm looking for a good philosophical book to read. I just want to get some outside perspectives, thanks! |

I just received a book called Descartes Bones
It is a skeletal history of the conflict between faith and reason written by Russell Shorto It is about a grand and strange history of the 350 year long debate between religion and science - seen through the oddly momentous journey of the skull and bones of the great French philosopher Rene Descartes. I will tell you about it once I finished reading it. |

My preference is for the ones that spread themselves over philosophy, psychology, and theology. Paul Tillich and William James are a couple of favorites.

Yes, not only was he a scientist, but a philosopher as well. I did a paper on him in one of my Philosophy classes. |
