As I switch out yet another cheap, crappy made American flag, I have to say how ironic that the "American" flags are made in China or Mexico. Nice huh?! So I get maybe 6wks, if the weather is nice.

Course, the occasional American made flag, lasts maybe 8wks. So it's probably better to buy the cheaper crap, and go through 5 as compared to going through one.

Gotta love America, that we can ship our manufacturing overseas!!!

Way I was raised. This country may frustrate the crap out of me, but the ideals it originally stood for are good.

We put up two huge flag poles on either side of the driveway, one for the Texas flag, one for the American flag. They fly year round, almost continuously, except to switch out.

I had the same problem. I can't find an American made American flag.

We hang them from our porches on the 4th of July, Memorial Day, etc.

That's the American way of doing business- make as much profit as you can by cheapening up on as many aspects of the business as possible. After all- why risk actually turning out a quality product (gasp!) when you can cut down your bottom line and pad your tax shelter in Aruba or Lichtenstein!

Of course, don't expect the people who trying to sell your product to (the SAME group you've screwed over in your rush to downsize and out-source your labor) to actually turn around and BUY your product, as they probably couldn't afford it at ANY price point.

We don't fly our Manx or Scottish Flags, those are in the house.

I get irritated with the Mexican flags around here, and would love to light a few up.

The Fourth of July is a big day for flags around St. Louis. They're everywhere.

Why would you get irritated by a mexican flag??? Isnt America a land of the free? A land of all people, colour, creed??? Isnt that what AMERICA stands for??? Or is it only for white people?

In the Italian neighborhood here they fly American flags AND Italian flags.

People are proud of their heritage and should if they feel like doing so.

Because they aren't flying both the American and Mexican flags, they're only flying their flag. If their country is so great, they can go back to it. I have no problems with multiple flags flying, but it's when you exclude the country that your living in, that I find offensive.
