There is a possibility that the land was owned by the shooters. My subdivision has "common area" which are jointly owned by all subdivision lot owners and are definitely private property. Someone "four wheeling" would be considered performing "criminal mischief" but sitting still would not be cause for deadly force. Again, these morons are going to get jail time.

The problem here is that we need to stop this from happening BEFORE it happens. It is our responsiblity as citizens of this country to make damn sure that no children are shot accidentally or otherwise.

That is the issue.

No seven year old child should be four wheeling and die from being shot.

It shouldn't happen.

All the talk of the couple going to jail is no solace.

All the talk of the couple getting hit with the max is no solace.

All the talk of shooting those who are on their property is no solace.


It is too late for solace for this family. The death penalty is no solace.

A life is lost and cannot be returned.

sad to say...there is nothing people can do to stop it. if someone wants to kill someone...they will find a way with or without a gun. the only thing that can be done is to make sure they can't do it again. just like gangs that kill people in gang shootings and drive bys. you can't bring any of the victims back (as much as i wish you could) people can only try to stop the people from doing it again
