do you pre mix the oil

or does the engine have a separate tank for your two cycle oil

if it has a seperate oil tank and mixes it its self

you could empty said tank (would try this with another tank and reroute to the line that goes to original tank to test it) and try a premix in the gas mixture as the oil pump may be over oiling the mix

just a thought

24 hp riding mower, not a 2 cycle engine like a chainsaw, it's got 2 cylinders, therefore 2 plugs.
