My prayers & blessings to my fallen brothers & sisters.I shall always honor & give praise to U all until my final breath.RIP.Godspeed!Cy"Steven"101st Airborne soldier.Until there is Peace!Amen.
I am an Airborne trooper,A paratrooper!I jump by parachute from any plane in flight.I volunteered to do it,knowing well the hazards off my choice.I serve in a mighty Airborne force, famed in deeds in war and renowned for readiness in peace.I pledge to uphold its honor and prestige in all I am and all I do.I am an elite trooper,a sky trooper,a shock trooper,a spearhead trooper.I blaze the way to far flung goals behind, before, above the foe's front line.I know that I have to fight without support for days on end. Therefore,I keep mind and body always fit to do my part in any airborne task.I am self reliant and unafraid.I shoot true, and march fast and far.I fight hard and execute in every art and artifice of war,I never fail a fellow trooper.I cherish as a sacred trust the lives of the men with whom I serve.Leaders have my fullest loyalty, and those I lead never find me lacking.I have pride in the Airborne!I never let it down.In peace,I do not shirk the dullest duty nor protest the the toughest training. My weapons and equipment are always combat ready.I am neat of dress, military in courtesy, proper in conduct and behavior. In battle,I fear no foe's ability, nor under estimate his prowess, power and agility.I fight him with all my might and skill ever alert to evade capture or escape a trap.I never surrender, though I may be the last.My goal in peace and war is to suceed in any mission of the day or die if it needs be in the try.I belong to a proud and glorious team, the Airborne, the Army,my Country.I am its chosen pride to fight where others may not go to serve them well until the final victory.I am a trooper from the sky!I am the nations best!In peace and war I never fail.Anywhere, anytime,in anything.I am the Airborne! Until there is Peace!Amen. CyPoet/Cybear's 101st Airborne Creed. |

http://www.usa-patriotism.com/poems/tv/veteran_soldiers-01.htm Veteran Soldiers For those who have gone before In and out deaths door Where footsteps and shadows stayed In souls scared memories remain... The places, faces, and names of all the soldiers who lived Here to eternity, victory or death, for Duty, Honor, Country... Chiseled in hearts of stone Banners waving with flags flown Lest we forget! The places, faces, and names in our hearts memories remain. Veteran Soldier I Honor Thy Name By Cliffton Clay Cromberg |

We would not exist as a country without the sacrifices of the military.
Our lives would be in danger every day from the forces in the world who seek to destroy our nation without the daily hard work of our men and women in service. There is a recruiting station nearby. I sometimes see military at lunch at the places I frequent. I always make a point of going over to thank them for their service and reminding them that many others feel the same way. Thanks Nessa |

Thanks Nessa Hi There my Awesome Brother Joe. ..I appreciate you soo much and i appreciate & love our Mighty Troops who guard our freedom I try to have a good attitude most of the time but i see such self centered attitudes & behavior I get so upset at some of the Americans i see on & offline so many people here want to push so hard for their rights but refuse to give one bit of credit to those mighty men & women who insure their freedoms & rights with every fiber of their being so i try to be here and fill in for the lack of loyalty & patriotism and it does my heart so good to see others step up to the plate too and to give credit where credit is much more than due |

Tomorrow morning, I'm going to The Abe Lincoln National Cemetery here in Elwood, IL, to help post flags on the graves of all that are laid to rest there, and on Sunday, I will be going to a ceremony at the same place, to honor my Brothers and Sisters who have fallen- either due to combat, or due to Father Time.
God Bless the American Fighting Spirit. The Code of Conduct 1. I am an American fighting man. I serve in the forces which guard my country and our way of life. I am prepared to give my life in their defense. 2. I will never surrender of my own free will. If in command I will never surrender my men while they still have the means to resist. 3. If I am captured I will continue to resist by all means available. I will make every effort to escape and aid others to escape. I will accept neither parole nor special favors from the enemy. 4. If I become a prisoner of war, I will keep faith with my fellow prisoners. I will give no information or take part in any action which might be harmful to my comrades. If I am senior, I will take command. If not I will obey the lawful orders of those appointed over me and will back them up in every way. 5. When questioned, should I become a prisoner of war, I am required to give name, rank, service number, and date of birth. I will evade answering further questions to the utmost of my ability. I will make no written statements disloyal to my country and its allies or harmful to their cause. 6. I will never forget that I am an American fighting man, responsible for my actions, and dedicated to the principles which made my country free. I will trust in my God and in the United States of America. |

This is the face of an American HERO. Master Sergeant Roy P. Benevidez, US Army, Viet Nam. Congressional Medal of Honor Recipient for actions Above and WAY Beyond the call of Duty.
Never heard of him? Look him up. Wounded 57 times, yes, 57 !! in one day, yet he saved the lives of a platoon of GIs he did not know. He is gone from us now, but will NEVER be forgotten. |
