Sun 05/13/07 08:15 PM AdventureBegins, I realize that there are two descriptions of creation, so your question doesn't really make any sense to me. We are all living souls and we all have a spirit ________________________________________________________________ There is but one genesis. That you read it as two may mean you need to see a spiritual eye doctor. You are seeing double. However... As you see it so it is to you. As I see it so it is to me. Go in peace and be in comfort with you beliefs. |

Spider, you still here? I have a serious question for you.
Is there any particular, organized Christian faith that you feel most clearly and soundly, represents your particular interpretations of the Bible? Just curious. Also, I know that many of the larger of the organized Christian faiths, are separated only by some seemingly insignificant issues. Is there any one, that you see as the worth offender, when it comes to Biblical interpretation? One more, if a person is raised to belive some things from a specific religious aspect, and it is very different than yours, do you still think that person will be judged adversly by God? |

Redykeulous,
No. No. Everyone will have the same Judge, who will apply the laws fairly to their life. I don't make judgements of who deserves hell or not, so I won't say. |

Thanks Spider.

Thanks Redyculous

But of course Bl8ant - how are you tonight?

Redykeulous,
As a non-denomenational Christian, I believe that man made religions get in the way of a persons relationship with Jesus. There are vast numbers of Christian doctrine that are covered by Romans 14. Basically, Romans 14 teaches that each Christian is called a little different. Someone who doesn't spend much time with God might feel convicted for working on Sunday, while someone who spends a lot of time with God can work on Sunday with a clear conscience. There shouldn't be a law dictating when you should or should not work, what you should or should not eat, what you should watch, what you should read, what games you should play, etc, because God writes a personal law onto each person's heart. Each denomination is based on the laws that God wrote onto one man's or several men's hearts, which they then dictate to their congregation, while it may not be God's will for the congregation as a whole. |

Spider, I have another question for you. Do you ever fear that what you
interpret and pass on to others may be incorrect? I only ask because it is so often stated that one can never know how God will judge. With that knowledge I can never figure out what gives any the courage to attemt to 'teach' what scripture means. |

Redykeulous,
The more I have grown in the spirit, the more I can hear the Holy Spirit in my own Bible study. The Holy Spirit has answered questions and explained scriptures to me. It's like a flash of insight that brings the scripture into perfect focus. I don't teach anything that the Holy Spirit hasn't revealed to me, so I avoid subjects like salvation and usually hell. I personally believe that there is no hell, but the Holy Spirit knows that whatever the truth is, I'm not ready for it. Perhaps the truth about the afterlife won't be given to anyone until after death, so that it remains the great mystery. |

And mankind has done such a fine job of "ruling" over everything.......NOT!! How many species are extinct because of mankind? How many more will become extinct due to mankind's need to dominate & abuse the planet? Maybe "Plan B" would have been a better choice? Humans are the only species that destroys what sustains life. And this makes us the most intelligent? Why? How? ============================================================= SpiderCMB replied: What did you mean when you wrote this? I meant exactly what I said. I did not imply in any way non-belief in a "higher power", as you stated in your post that followed. You quoted biblical scripture that stated humans were "made/created" to rule over everything. I just made an observation. From now on, I think I will do my best to keep my opinions to myself since some people tend to apply their own implications to every thing I say. |

Ghostwhisperer, your posts are as valuable as Spidercmb's are,
don't be quiet because he tries to shut you up. I think about people like me, Jess, AB and Red, the ones who want to learn |

Invisible;
Thank you very much for your kind words. I really appreciate it. I am rather upset & confused right now, after receiving too many horrible emails. I do not understand why anyone would go out of their way to be so hateful. I would never consider such a thing. I just feel as if I am placing my own head in the guillotine every time I post in this forum. I realize that my philosophies are not that of, from what I have seen, anyone else. Which is fine. There are many Christians in here that are not judgemental & do not attempt to "save" me. I truly appreciate that. I do not post in attempt to sway anyone to my way of thinking, just to state my opinion, which is just that. Thanx again for your words of wisdom. I value your opinion & truly respect everyone who deserves it. |

Ghost, don't let anyone keep you from sharin your feelings on any given
subject. If they send you hate mail, report them, since that is goin out of their way, and really just downright stupid. Keep doin your thing, and keep your head up high. Not everyone is gonna agree with everyone else, so just brush em off. |

GhostWhisperer, as I said, your posts are as valuable as all the others,
to hold back now would be punishment for all of us who want to learn and to see what is out there. We all come from different walks of life and have come to out beliefs on different paths, don't let one or two who think they have it all stop you from sharing this with us. |

YEAH!!

Thanks so much red & invisible. My head is always held high. I bow to nothing. But I also do not like to be burned at the virtual-stake for my opinions. I really understand why who are people like me tend to remain in the preverbial shadows & keep to their own. Being misunderstood & judged gets old, fast. Especially by people who's hat size rivals their I.Q.. I think it's coffee time. Anyone want some? I grind my own beans!! |

No problem. I must say, I don't think like most people, and I tend to
get catagorized often as well. It sucks, but it does show their level of respect, and anyone who claims to know/teach the word of God should know respect is a big part of how to treat people. I've never claimed myself to be all-knowing or any sh*t like that, and never will. I don't really know EXACTLY what I believe, but I know there isn't a religion out there that shares my views. I assume from the way you were talkin, it's about the same for you. Check me if I'm wrong, please. I just think it's downright funny when someone says I'm goin to hell cuz I don't believe this or that. FUNNY!! Just let them be miserable and hateful, as long as you remember what kind of person you are. Take it easy. Red |
