there is more to this story than what they are telling. just wait and

lulu, my first daughter was failier to thrive and I had to let a nurce
over see me for months because they thought i wasnt feeding my baby. she
was finally diagnosed with suck swallow reflux, wich means she couldnt
suck the milk into the back of her throte. what she would swallow she
would throw up. this became a living hell for me i tried sssoo hard,
even to easter seals and ray gramne. but they still took her for 1month
of life. and i couldnt understand why but thanks to health departement i
got her back quickly because i had help all over the place. why didnt
this couple do something? i had everyone all over my case!!! in the
first two weeks!!!

my daughter was diagnosed with Benign Congenital Hypotonia at one week
of age. from there...GERD, moderate-severe dysphagia at the esophageal
level (her esophagus doesn't close properly, allowing liquids to
aspirate into her lungs). severe reflux...she would vomit,
projectile-style, up to fifty times per day.

we thicken all her liquids, which drastically reduced the vomiting, as
well as the aspiration. at subsequent appointments with her
neurologist, we've received diagnoses of asthma, allergies, Global
Developmental Delay, and Hypermobility Syndrome.

i was very lucky...she's my fourth child, so i KNEW something was
wrong...and her pediatrician had a special-needs child, so she was very
in-tune with what to look for. she was seen every three days for the
first few months...she's just turned four, and we have her up to thirty
pounds at 39 inches.

the problem is...all of her diagnoses are really just symptoms of
something larger, and it's an elimination process of many tests to
figure out what the underlying genetic issue is.

Rivergirl, to the best of my knowledge you are not a licensed
psychiatrist, correct? and even if you were, and yuhad counseld either
of these parents, you woul not be ableto make the statement yu did about
ocd as you did without violating your doctor/patient issues. So PLEASE,
do not make statements of fact if not capable of backin them up. Also
My response was directly in response to your post, as I stated a parent
can refuse t take their child in for medical care if it is against their
belief. In this case, the aprents belief is that the hospital was too
full of germs so they chose not to take their child in because they felt
it was unsafe for the child.

This has zero to do with vegetarianism and everything to do with being
an idiot parent. As a vegetarian father, I understand that numerous
precautions must be taken to see that a child is receiving all the
necessary vitamins and minerals they need in order to have extraordinary
health and grow at a normal rate.

Yes they were vegan, but mostly they were just idiots...

Further more a healthy vegan mother with a variety of nutritious food in
her diet would have had no problem BREAST FEEDING this child.
