When I was getting trained to be an investigator for the Department of Welfare, the interviewing technique they taught us was called "Slicing the Baloney". When I was studying Psychology in Grad School, they introduced the concept of "Baloney running from the Slicer" when dealing with people's responses and/or avoidance. I once lived with a woman who was always threatening to slice my baloney. I think 90% of life is baloney and you can: slice it thin; chop it thick; just eat it; or tell the clerk you ordered the rib eye. How do you deal with it? And/or does your baloney have a first name?

There is a facade of ascending mellifluous birds on the wind...
If you feed enough of them.. They will surely **** on you for it and leave landmines littered about.. But fret not..all of them languidly tire and land.. That's when you grind them into baloney and sauté them.. Yum!.. |

My baloney has a first name.. -It's reality,, or is it?

So, maybe the title of this thread should be: To dazzle them with brilliance or baffle them with bull****? That is the question.

Confabulation is always a possible name. So is obfuscation. Confabulation-Psychiatry. the replacement of a gap in a person's memory by a falsification that he or she believes to be true. Obfuscation-1. to confuse, bewilder, or stupefy. 2. to make obscure or unclear: to obfuscate a problem with extraneous information. 3. to darken. |
