take a chevy metro vrs a dodge charger? charger wins

now take the metro to the next level. a 100,000$ parts bill pending how u get the parts

a nissan 350 z motor turning 450 hp with a little fabrication will fit under the hood. strap a raceing clutch an fly with a stall converteer. then top it off with a 2 speed power glide. for the gear ratio a 3.5 to a 4.0 will do. full roll cage. fuel cell. arodynamics work. my friends simulator and calculations are saying about 210 mph to 220 mph in a 1/2 mile

the last car we built calculating off this program was 5 mph off.

anyone want one?

i almost got my van painted it should get a sponsor in the next month. we got a nissan 350 z motor in the works for it

You're going to need at least a 3000 stall in that torque converter (depending on the cam lift/duration) and would have better luck with 4.11 or better gears in the pumpkin.

I think your buddy's simulator is off though. To get 210-220 out of the thing, you really need almost as many suspension/wheel/tire upgrades as you will engine mods, otherwise that lil car will hit the finish line in at least 100 pieces... best bet is a full Dana44 or Dana60 suspension and they aren't cheap unless you can find a couple wrecked vettes to jack parts off of, but well worth it.

Read your profile. Keep going down the same track you are now (no racing pun intended) and you'll do great.

you definately get the power out of the z motor, my cusin has one and its 510 hp to the wheel but your comparing a done up car to a stock dodge, we all know dodge runs the show when they want to..

If you want something really fast, a real sleeper and totally unusual check out a Smartuki; you can actually buy one. It's a Smart car with a modified Suzuki Hayabusa bike engine in it.

The other problem is that the Metro is no longer street legal... and it's still a Metro. I'd rather rock the slower sleeker sexier Charger.
