My Instant Message is malfunctioning. I go through the routine and type my greeting message and wait for her to connect and nothing happens. Last night I tried to IM three people and after I closed the window on two occasions I got a message saying she wanted to chat with me so I clicked yes and the window opened. There was no message so I typed “Hello any body there”. Nothing.

I e-mailed one and asked her if she knew what was going on and she said: “Honestly I have no Idea. It popped up telling me you wanted to chat. So I clicked yes and then nothing happened so I said hello and you never answered so I don’t know what happened“.

Under the send button there is a likeness of me with a balloon over it with a question mark in it.

We have instant messaging on here? I've never seen it and I've been here well over a year! I know they have it on POF and it doesn't work half the time though!

Yes we do have IM here, and yes it's quite buggy. I've had instances where IM windows would come up saying that a member had logged in and logged off in a rather machine gun-like fashion on several occasions.

You can IM members here by going to their profile page and looking for the orange "instant message" button.

That question mark is normal, jamesfortville, so that's nothing to be concerned about.

As for not being able to connect with others on the site's IM, it sounds like a matter of timing. As noted above, it can be a bit picky.
