I never really need it
My life is full of idle chatter! |

The day I didn't have my cell, I got into a car accident with a judge.
I'll never drive without it again. It's helped me when I've been lost. It helps me when I need to call my child's school to tell them that I'll be a few minutes late picking them up. My child has called me from school on it when they were sick and I had to pick them up. There's more but they escape me right now. |

The thing about emergencies is they often pop up just when you least expect them. For this reason I carry a cell phone--a pay as you go phone, so I don't have a monthly bill. I only turn the phone on when I travel and when I do my morning walks. It's for MY use and I don't give my number out to non-crucial individuals. I don't like chatting on phones so most people who know me just drop by to talk; they don't call me. I honestly don't remember the last time I talked on my cell phone. It was probably to ask someone directions to their location. whoop there it is..... and we have a winner! I too have a "pay as you go" cell phone for when I travel and that's it only one or 2 people have the number. and one of them better lose it ... |

I never really needed it for that situation, but if I don't have it on me , it's like leaving the house without pants
