I post this after watching a documentary that caused me some thought. I place it here for your comments, thoughts and research. I am sure many will disagree, I expect it, it is their right, as my opinions are simply my own, which is my right.... Thank you.

More people die yearly from allergic reactions to peanuts than all the terrorist attacks in the world. I can't recall the specifics, but I think the figures were 300:1 or more.

Our government spends $300,000,000 or more each year on the war machine and only $3,000,000 is allocated for research on this killer.

My thoughts are......

If our government was truely interested in saving human life, would they not allocate more for research of the real killers, or is the issue "population thinning" and profits?

We all know war is profitable to the corporations like The Carlyle Group and Haliburton (the Bush/Bin Laden families, and Cheneys, backed by the private banking corporations), but I think ALL human life is important, and there are more REAL threats facing the human race than who controls the oil of the world.

Our founding fathers wrote the Constitution to protect us from "out of control" government. We are told in our Constitution that we must always safeguard against anyone who might wish to alter or attack our right to the freedoms given us in the Bill Of Rights.

We as Americans have failed in our obligations to uphold and protect these rights for WE THE PEOPLE, and have allowed our government to take control from us. Our founding fathers, I am sure, would be crying rivers could they see what our nation has become. Greed and Corporatism rule, our monetary system in the control of private banking corporations. Our rights are altered by the power mongers at the stroke of a pen by our "leaders" they "buy" and select for us with the power of the dollar we have given them control of.

Wake up AMERICA!!!! If you can't honestly say you feel your government "WORKS FOR YOU"....... IT IS TIME FOR A REAL CHANGE!

Take back our Constitution! Restore our republic! Give power back to the people because corporate greed does not provide for the welfare of the nation as this one simple example stated above shows.

WE MUST BEGIN TO CARE AGAIN, FOR WE ARE OUR BROTHERS KEEPER, NOT THE CORPORATIONS!

Again, this is simply my opinion as a veteran of war and a patriot, who is concerned with the outcome and future for all of us and our children.

Most don't even realize that under the Patriot Act, if you attend a church and pack a Bible you can be called a terrorist, a cultist, a subversive, and the Bible is listed as "propaganda literature" by definition.

Thank you Mr Bush and all our representatives who voted for this and never bothered to read it!

We'll fight against Islam but consider our own Christian Bible as propaganda!

As an after thought..... Mr "Yes we can" has updated and appended Mr "this would be easier if it was a dictatorship.... as long as I was the dictator" Bushs' policies. NOTHING HAS CHANGED..... that works for the peoples behalf!

I don't understand what you mean by research peanut allergies. An allergy is an allergy.

It's only an example. I would like to believe we can cure the common cold with advances in medicine and technology, but it takes funding and research. In headlines today I read about some new developement in alzhiemers treatment, why not allergies?

My post was to comment on the priorities dictated to us.

It's been proven we are in 2 wars based on lies, yet we continue to support them, and terrorist enlistment has actually grown since we have.

It's been shown that an oil based economy is a thing of the past, that supplies are also deminishing. There are proven technologies that make oil passe', but they will not allow the technology as long as oil rules. (Research "The Venus Project")

Again, it's about priorities, controlling, not peanuts.

what's sad is that most illnessness can be cured but why would the fda or gov allow that(no money in cures)

That's not true. There are scientists working in the teaching hospitals in my city looking for cures. I know somebody that works hard on that.

I WOULD AGREE THAT THERE ARE ALOT OF PEOPLE LOOKING FOR CURES BUT HOW MANY WILL ACTUALLY END UP ON THE MARKET?

Our government will always fund research, just never enough, because as said before, there is no money in a cure. If people aren't sick the insurance companies, the hospitals, the lobbyists..... all out of jobs and no more pills for doctors to push.

Just like this little tidbit....

There was $61,000,000 spent on the research of Bill and Monica. There was $3,000,000 allocated for the research into the 911 investigation, 14 MONTHS AFTER the attacks and evidence had been removed and destroyed! Later (after complaint and some scrutiny) raised to $9,000,000 (there were many legal and unethical blocks made on information requested from the White House...... they work for us, but we don't deserve to know what they know or are doing?).

I'm sorry, but don't we have a right to know the truth? We would be jailed for contempt of court, but the White House (Bush and Chenney) just refused to comply to a Supreme Court Order placing them above the law.... they would only testify together, would not be sworn, and had the final say on what part of their testimony would be allowed in the report..... which was NONE!

Does my point begin to clear here?
