Topic: a little advice for a new relationship | |
---|---|
I have gone on two dates with this guy. For the last one he took me for a flight in his plane. I was thinking of having an indoor picnic with him on Friday. Does this sound like a good idea and what should I cook? I really want to impress him.

You shouldn't "need" to impress anyone. Your date should be there because he wants to be with you, NOT because he's impressed with your abilities in the kitchen.

Sounds like a good idea, but I don't know of any suggestions for a menu. I would however suggest that you cook something you are familiar with. The last thing you want to do is try and cook something you've never cooked before and it not turn out good.

I guess what I meant to say was that I want to do something nice for him that he will appreciate if that makes sense

I think it's a great idea.. The point is that it comes from the heart.. It's the thought of what you're doing.. If you make it like an "inside, outdoor picnic" it would be so cool, he'll be real impressed.. Good luck and the best of wishes on your new relationship...

Cheese and crackers.....I would buy brie. Some really good wine, some grapes, figs, walnuts, some light deli meats.

I think the indoor picnic could be great. You could make it a romantic setting with candlelight and soft music. Make sure to have some romantic music nearby so after dinner, you can dance real close.
Unless you actually like to cook, don't wear yourself out in the kitchen. Instead you could serve some grapes, strawberries, other fresh fruits and vegetables, maybe finger sandwiches, something light and fun. The wine and cheese idea is good too. Enjoy your date. It sounds like fun. |

I too would keep it simple, finger foods could be fun!
And the wine, a nice touch. Have fun! |
