One sure thing nobody can dispute is that we are all going to die one day.Dispite what you believe or not believe two things are going to happen.You are going to live forever in a good place or live forever in a bad place.I am not going to debate being dead forever because the only people that belive that is the Aiethest and we know debating Aeithest is just a waste of time.I am also not going to debate re-incarnation because that has been debunked many times manily due to the fact you have more people being born than you have people dying. So getting back to the Christian belief.If I am going to die and either way I am going to spend eternity awake and alive then of course I am going to choose the best place.Only a idiot would want to spend eternity in dark,horrible place,with ugly people,and burning fire. You don't get bored in heaven.God takes away things like bordem.There is also heaven and the earth so between those two you wouldn't get bored anyways. You won't remember death because there is no death in heaven and it would be like you never saw it or remembered it. I worship God everyday why wouldn't I want to do it in heaven? Who says reincarnation is a closed system? Besides most people who believe in reincarnation believe that we can reincarnated as other creatures and not just humans. Insects more than outnumber humans. Wow god takes away boredom, I don't remember that as one of Jesus' miracles, must of been in one f those *other* gospels. If out Lord Satan is the antithesis of that devil god, why should he listen to god? Why does he have to make hell a bad place? He could make hell lots of fun. After all, what's god gonna do about it, send him to hell? |

do you really want to live a life for all of eternity? won't you get bored eventually? how do you treasure life when there is no death? how do you treasure joy when there is no sorrow? does worshipping someone who demands to be worshipped constantly and forever seem like a good idea?  
Hi Jasmine... I think if your question is about time... the increments we use to measure.... it creates a kind of hard task...is the start date from the moment of your birth in this life? As to eternity....I know no difference.... this is a small experience within eternity for me, this is learning... joy, sorrow, pain, fear, LOVE, in a human experience... this is a spiritual being experience humanness.... to learn all these facets of one's Self... they will be treasured, and relearned, through many more human lifetimes.. I feel that the constraints of 'time' are gone once out of these human conditions... I have such a thin grasp on this time thing as it is.... within this human condition now... |

which of the many end times are you referring to?
the end times have been predicted many times and yet here we are still kicking. remember when y2k was gonna cause the end of the world? lets see 2012 is supposed to herald the end....we'll see about that. I am no longer worrying about the end times, and just so you know, the look on my face will be "meh i was wrong, sorry" course id be just as bored if it were found that i was right so doesnt matter either way. I figure with all the religions out there, one of them could very well be right....but then again they might all be wrong. |
