I have to have mine on 24/7 due to being on-call for work. I do, however, miss the days when I had a pager that I could "lose" with less difficulty than I can "lose" my phone :)

Same here. I am on call for work and would be 100% impossible without my cell.

I know, I miss it tons. Moved back to the Houston area about a year ago, but will hopefully be back sooner than later.

I still write letters. Yes, snail mail letters, lol. When I was younger, it was always a thrill to get a letter, and I still get excited when I open the mailbox and there's something in there that has nothing to do with bills or solicitations!

I've lived in Houston a few times too. Just long enough to remember how bad it is, then leave. HATE IT! lol

Hill Country, Hippie Hollow, Armadillo World headquarters, Heart of Texas Music... smokin weed right in front of cops. lol I still visit Austin from time to time and may move back there. May not. But hey, still one of the most fun, easy going, nicest towns in the US.

Sorry for the off topic. Every time I see the word Austin, I go off. lol

Probably help you live a lot longer, not just not kill you. EMR coming off em is like a brain cancer gun, no matter what the industry tells you.

Anyone got a this is your brain on cell phone smiley?

Gosh, I feel like I need a Cell Phones Anonymous meeting right about now. I go through about 6000 minutes a month and probably 10K texts. Thank god for the company cell and unlimited everything. And don't get me wrong, I don't enjoy being on the phone that much, 80% of it is necessary. I would be so screwed without mine though.

My cell is for MY convenience, NOT theirs. I'M the person in control of it, I'M the one who paid for it, I'M the one who pays the bill. If I don't feel like answering it, I ain't gonna. That's the beauty of voicemail. If somebody doesn't like talking to voicemail machines, or just simply doesn't like to leave messages, it's my guess that your call wasn't all that damn important, so don't be expecting a callback. Fortunately, neither of my phones ring all that often, and that's just the way I like it.

For those of you who have one glued to your head 24/7, or allegedly "need" it for your job,....y'all need to find a new line of work.

I had a trac fone ( prepaid ) for a while just to see before I committed to getting a cell phone... guess what? I don't have a cell phone. people have forgotten how to converse with each other face to face. Its like the commercial when they have a couple kissing... thats the first instant message... Besides that I find it rude of people who walk around with their damn cell crammed into their head . Not paying attention to others around them , Driving etc.. And I can do with out one. I like the fact I don't have to be talking to everyone or just anyone at all times. Its just like being here on mingles.. do I get involved with every single forum or post? nope. I have better things to do in life ...bigsmile
cell phones are internet too!!!great safety things and alot more.me i hate them and love them at the same time.
