i was born and raised in the urban world and moved out of it for enough time to know that i'm a city girl at heart. i LOOOVE my multicultural traffic jammed people infested cities with all their hustle and bustle of the world i grew up in.
dang. i missed it so much. |

I'm a country girl, all the way. Have lived in both large cities and the country, and know beyond a doubt that I need the peace and quiet. I will retire eventually, and I've got my eye on some property in the mountains of TN for that very purpose :)

I was raised in the southern burbs of Chicago, and my hometown now is just over-run with strip malls, restaurants, car dealerships, and doctor's offices.
I only live about 20 miles or so from there, but I see deer every week, I can talk to neighbors and get super-fresh veggies from their fields (not backyard gardens- fields). I can't remember the last time I locked my door at night. We play bags from spring to fall, euchre from fall to spring. I know the names of 80% of the people that I pass walking around town, and even if you don't know them, you say Hi, and smile. City life? Nope, not no more now, eh? |
