I can't wait. It looks really awesome! I've grown up watching all the films though soo yeah. Has anyone seen any previews or what's your take on the movie(s)?

The previews look awesome, the new terminators look great, but i'm still hesitant to get on the bandwagon just yet. drinker

I just hope it's better than Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines, which was actually kind of weak and not at all keeping with the standards of the other Terminator movies. If it does better than T3, then it should be all right.

I liked T3 even tho the plot was mostly rehashed from T2 and the bad terminator was an awful actress. I liked seeing Skynet wake up and start blowing stuff up. It even showed the nuclear missiles coming down in the last shots.

Which makes me question the new movie coming out, because the Earth looks normal; no nuclear fall out or anything. And where the hell are the laser guns that were in the first two movies when it showed the future? I will still go watch it, but damnit i want continuity in the movies.

They were probably trying to go for a Mad Max-like environment... where everything's taking place out in the middle of nowhere. Then again, I can't be certain of this, as we've only seen enough of the film to fill a thirty-second promo- there's bound to be more in the way of scenery and environment in the actual movie.

The lack-of-continuity can be attributed to the change in directors from James Cameron (T1 and T2) to Johnathan Mostow (T3) to McG (T:S)- each director has (or had) their own vision for everything in the films, so things are bound to change. It's more-or-less done out of artistic ego than anything else- it's less about the intellectual property than it is about THEIR vision of the intellectual property.

It would be great if Summer Glau had a cameo love

It'd be even more awesome if Mr.T and Chuck Norris had cameos in the movie. laugh

Mr. T would be awesome, he has more metal around his neck than any of the endo-skeletons. But Summer Glau would be great because she plays the "good" terminator on the T.V. show (which is the only show on TV i watch that isn't on Discovery or Animal Planet laugh )
