Hummmm I do thank you for making that clear it was before the Mods were in fact put into place.

Not saying that it could not happen after wards for there have been many times it has happened.

But as you also said the actions taken were in fact to all those involved at the time. My self I do not remember the incident for back then I stayed out of the Politics threads completely and well now only when I have to.

But as far as the topic in hand I do enjoy seeing some mind provoking threads that makes one think and give and opinion. Now if those threads die due to lake of responses that is one thing. But when in fact they are overrun and in fact no longer deals with the subject in hand then to me that is taking away from those members that in fact wish to post within that thread.

I mean no matter what you will have some that will drift at times. And that is normal but if it is not one that really interest one then don't take that chance away from others that actually feel they have something to say about the subject. JMO I do feel that we should all have fun within the forums and joking around even at the oddest times lighting the mood of a subject if it gets too serious.

If you say so. A post like this isn't really going to help though. It isn't going to change the people who constantly post nonsense.

Lots of people say they want someone intelligent. But they really don't -- they just say that because they think they're SUPPOSED to say that. Put a truly intelligent person in front of them, and they run screaming the other way.

It's the same with the "Looks don't matter, it's what's on the inside that counts" crowd. All total BS. But they don't want to be tarred with epithets like "shallow" or "superficial," so they type the blah blah blah totally-PC thing that they believe is somehow "more acceptable."

What I've learned over the years, is that people are no more honest about who/what they want than they are about who they are themselves.

I defiently have to agree with your post. I opened a thread for advise and help and bashed for saying men....so I got trashed for not say some men. It was taken that I meant all men. Then was told I was back peddling.... All I wanted was some advise on what I was saying or posting wrong to only pick up married men or ones that wanted a one nighter. I will never open another thread after that... to much bashing and idiots in this site to get a honest anything!

Well...if you have a question that you would like some honest advice on, you can either email me, or you can post the question in the Just Ask JustAGuy thread.

I answer the questions posted there to the best of my ability. I don't pull punches when someone asks for advice, though. I give them an answer, even though they may not like what I have to say.

Maybe it won't help. Maybe it will. Doesn't really matter much one way or the other.

My only main reason for posting it was because I wondered about it. My secondary reason was to bring it to people's attention and see what their reactions were to it.

You aren't the only one who thinks that way. A lot of the time, the people from other countries are the ones with unbiased perspective on some of the things that go on in this country.

And therein, the problem lies. Too many people only want others to post what they WANT to hear (read), not what they NEED to hear (read). They'll say they want honest answers, but when you give them exactly what they're asking for, they have the nerve to get pissed off, and then continue to whine about it.

I wasn't going to post...I can stop a thread dead in it's tracks...but just had to say thank you for starting this thread. Good discussion.

1)some people have very short thought processes

2)some think only they are right and they don't want to see the other persons side on the matter

3)there are some on here that are attention whores and once the attention is turned off of them,they go through the forums looking for ways to get the attention back
