Otherwise, Toto will keep me company and I'm cool. I had to ditch the Cowardly Lion, Tin Man and Scarecrow. They were too needy! Third wheels .....

So it couldnt just be that he doesnt feel ready for marriage yet? just cos a guy isnt ready to get married, doesnt mean he doesnt genuinely love you.

and how do u know if hes the type that wants to marry?? i know if a guy brought up marriage to me at the date stage, i would run a mile!

I consider every woman I date as a potential life partner.Other wise I won't date them. Why? because you just never know what can or will happen. And if you start out with the knowledge they may be "marriage material" then it won't come to you as a surprise later... And you won't be doing a hustle to get out of it, when she might start talking marriage.

Maybe I don't understand the question, but to me, it's like asking "What's the point of going to the grocery store and not buying Blueberry Pop-Tarts?" There ARE other options....

Hmmmmmmmmmmm....there is an interesting question that clearly needs attention.

Personally, it depends on the people, Lee! I have dated for fun sometimes and boy did we have fun, but it wasn't there for the long term and we both knew it.

I think a lot just for experience and someone to spend your time with. I don't think you can just look at someone, and think to yourself "I'd like to marry that person." There's no way to know like that. For me, personally, I don't think it's worth pursuing unless there is some possibility of marriage, but at the same time, it doesn't have to be practically a for sure thing, in order for me to date someone.

Married Twice, total of 20 yrs.
I am done with marriage.
NOT done with women.

What's the point of marriage?

To discover yourself, what you want, etc.
