It is well known that fanny packs are socially unacceptable. As functional as they may be, they look goofy.
I think I've discovered a more modern adaptation to the fanny pack that carries all the lameness of a fanny pack and this is the roller backpack. They just look tacky and a product such as this says 'hello world. I suppose I could carry this on my back like everyone else but I am far too lazy for all that needles work. I'll just drag it behind me!' Unless you are a 90 year old or someone with severe back problems backpacks should be carried as usual. |

In the UK we call them bum bags, because a fanny means something entirely different here.

Whenever I see a roller backpack in use I imagine the user wearing a snuggie and sipping dr pepper using a crazy straw.

I love fashion tragedies. I can add that to the socks with sandals, jean shorts hiked up to the waiste with the shirt tucked in, and white sneakers with jeans offenses!

They are mini-sized pieces of luggage, with wheels, as a backpack? Like a carry on?? People use those in everyday life? NO!!! You are not serious! I see people with them at school but they have like 2 tons of books. I can't imagine using them for car keys and a wallet on the way to Jamba Juice!

Yeah, PATS, you are a little too manly! I can't even get the visual of you with one. If I did, I would have to stab out my eyes!

I will admit I have fanny packs a couple of them when I hike they are great to hold water, keys and what ever else..
