Topic: Tea Bags | |

This is a wierd question, but my daughter says I am nuts because I use my tea bag more than once, sometimes more than 2x, I see nothing wrong in it. Do others here do the same?

I would think that it would make additional cups weak, then again this is coming from one that drinks a pot of cuban in the morn.

I make fresh tea daily I don't reuse the tea bags to me that would lessen the flavor I do have my own tea procedure

I usually reuse mine once, sometimes twice. You just leave them in longer to make it stronger. Maybe each successive cup lacks something I don't know about but it still tastes like tea to me.

I often use loose tea or herbal tea. Herbals don't do so well the second time around, and loose tea is a once-and-throw-away thing. I also use medicinal teas, and they aren't as strong the second time around. However, tea-drinking is about relaxing, in my opinion, and if the issue of reusing doesn't bother, then double-dip to your heart's content.

I don't save them for the next day, but if I'm going to have another cup right after the 1st, I use it twice.
I like my tea very weak anyway and there's more than enough tea in a bag for my particular taste to make 2 cups. |
