Topic: Nothing happens without a definite cause. | |
---|---|
The ordinary man who has no definite knowledge of cause and effect, is governed by his feelings or emotions. He thinks chiefly to justify his action. If he fails as a businessman, he says that luck is against him. If he dislikes music, he says that music is an expensive luxury. If he is a poor office man, he says that he could succeed better at some outdoor work. If he lacks friends, he says his individuality is too fine to be appreciated.
He never thinks his problem through to the end. In short, he does not know that every effect is the result of a certain definite cause, but he seeks to console himself with explanations and excuses. He thinks only in self-defense. On the contrary, the man who understands that there is no effect without an adequate cause thinks impersonally. He gets down to bedrock facts regardless of consequences. He is free to follow the trail to truth wherever it may lead. He sees the issues clear to the end, and he meets the requirements fully and fairly, and the result is that the world gives him all that it has to give in friendship, honor, love and approval. |

Your life is governed by law, by actual, immutable principles that never vary. Law is in operation at all times, in all places.
Fixed laws underlie all human actions. For this reason, men who control giant industries are enabled to determine with absolute precision just what percentage of every hundred thousand people will respond to any given set of conditions. It is well, however, to remember that while every effect is the result of a cause, the effect in turn becomes a cause, which creates other effects, which in turn create still other causes. So that when you put the Law of Attraction into operation you must remember that you are starting a train of causation for good, or otherwise which may have endless possibilities. We frequently hear it said, "A very distressing situation came into my life, which could not have been the result of my thought, as I certainly never entertained any thought which could have such a result." We fail to remember that like attracts like in the mental world, and that the thought which we entertain brings to us certain friendships and companionships of a particular kind, and these in turn bring about conditions and environment, which in turn are responsible for the conditions of which we complain. |

Do you think its possible that each choice that we makes creates an alternate universe? That would depend on what you define as a "universe." An alternate "reality" may be perceived by a single observer or many observers sharing an agreed upon reality. I would say that each choice we make can alter our personal path through the matrix or "multi-verse" and change our personal perspective and future. The history of the world may have several outcomes just as some DVD movies have several outcomes and you can choose to view the one you want. I think that the "universe" could be a multi-dimensional matrix that involves multiple probabilities and outcomes that can be chosen. Some are chosen and some are not chosen. The world consciousness tends to choose the direction and it could split into two or more directions, creating two or more outcomes (or universes.) After all, if we are in a holographic thought created dream-like reality, it is our thoughts that create it and where we go in the future depends on where we place our thoughts and our attention. So imagine the world you want and create something good. Peace! |

Like we are all existing within our own little alternate universes?
It's possible. But I have a different understanding of a "universe" as apposed to a "reality." I see us inside of a "multi-verse" which contains infinite alternate probable realities. The "multi-verse" is a multi-dimensional environment which contains an infinite number of probable realities (or as I call them, "stories")which are simply paths through the matrix. By "multi-dimensional" I mean it is almost beyond our human ability to comprehend because we are only aware of three dimensional space. |

He takes everything around him as an afront and places blame on the outside for all his own creation. Ouch! Too close to home. |

That is basically what I mean when I say that a person must take responsibility for everything in their life and in their personal reality. They may not have created every detail but they are co-creators and participators in that reality. Look around and accept what is, but realize that you created the circumstances you are in. Now is your point of power. Now is where you begin, and Now is when you can use your personal will to decide and intend to change your reality from that point. Your point of power is Now. This is where you begin. Your three sources of power in this physical reality are 1. Time 2. Energy 3. Money. Everything you do has an effect even if it is laying around on your butt watching television. You will reap the effect of that. The way you spend your time is most important because you can't get that back. |

The inertia involved is freaking immense when passing through that place where one fully recognizes their own lack of taking any responsibility to taking ACTUAL responsibility! ...At least it feels that way. Its like a tractor beam yanking one back into utter blindness, without ANY regard to ones desire to see. |

what caused the original post? Thinking is the cause of everything. Action follows thinking and it is the action that moves into cause. I read about it, I thought about it, , I took action and posted it. |

Ugh. It's late. I'm tired, but I'll add two bits. This discussion is a self encapsulated multiverse. There are items of science being discussed smelling of basic M theory, which is a branch of physics which deals with how the universe exists and the math that defines how it works. There is also the id. Reality. Reality is different for everyone reading this blog although the universe in the same. We can indeed change our universe by our thoughts and actions; but like the lowly electron, we cannot be observed and located at the same time. Some degree of chance exists for all of us, all of the time. Good thoughts and actions trend us in a good direction. But sometimes **** happens. I am a better person for being in the presence of all of you.
So there. |
