What have you found in the way of geographical/social differences with people on how they present themselves here on M2?
Example - (this is purely an *example* of how I know *SOME* people think) Californians are laid back Southerners are slow Northerners are more intense Ok, I guess I have to qualify every frickin' thing I post! I'm thinking about people making generalizations about one area of the country over another, etc. This is SUPPOSED TO BE FUN, PEOPLE! Sheesh! |

I personally am tickled with the hospitality that the northeners have shown me. They are very friendly and outgoing, love to laugh. I thought the south had cornored the market on hospitality, but have been pleasantly suprised.

If you can't poke fun at those you love and love you... who can you poke fun at? |

Well, I know from personal experience that being "female, southern, and blonde" that I'm not taken as serious by some. I even had a guy tell me that He thought I was cute, but that he didn't think he could be interested in a gal with no IQ. Needless to say, he got blocked!

People are diverse no matter where they live geographically, you can't single out a group of people and say they are the same...

If you can't poke fun at those you love and love you... who can you poke fun at? I wouldnt really think that alcoholism is something to "poke fun" at... considering both my grandparents died from the disease, and my mother, ex husband, and best friend are all struggling with it right now! As far as diffences in people from different states... well, i was born in california, raised in baltimore, lived in Atlanta for 10 years, and now live in west virgina... and i have lived all over the states and found great people and crappy people in every different spot!! |
