This is our neighborhood bobcat. She uses the arroyo by my house for a highway most mornings. Keeps the rabbit population down.

I think if people are interactive, and value them, then cats can be fun and a joy to have around.
Animals are smart.  If they are not cared for, loved, or appreciated then they try to find a better home. I'd run away too if someone called me useless.
