Hope you make it Buttons. I quit once for 2 weeks...vowed not to pick
them up again. But as you can tell by the fact that I said 2 weeks it was a vow I didn't keep. Wish now I had. Guess it's time to try again. |

Not making any promises this time around but I will try. At least now I
have a very good reason for quitting. Yep. Come October I will be hearing the pitter-pat of my first grandchild. I have until then to clean up all my nasty habits. Thanks for the support. LOL....I am thinking I might need to just go ahead and shave my head while I'm at it. That way it won't hurt so bad when I freak and try to pull my hair out. |

GREAT JOB PROUD OF YA'LL
Been there done that, was smoking 3 packs a day I quit 4 years ago this last Jan. Myself I did it cold turkey, and yes yard work and anything to keep your hands busy does help. As for chewing gum could not do that instead cut straws into 3 pieces keep them in my purse and in my truck when I was driving and had the urge for a cig grabbed a straw instead to chew on and then would throw it away when the urged passed. It is the motion we make with our hands with the cig to our mouths and back that sometimes is tough. Keep up the good work !! |

I smoked cigarettes for 24 years. At one point I was smoking up to 3
packs a day. It was on a Thursday night at 9 0' clock, and I had one more left in the pack. I smoked half of it, and stubbed it out. Aftr that, I didn't smoke for 11 years. When my marriage broke up, I foolishly started again, and was back up to two packs a day, until this March, when I stopped again. Since then, I only had two cigarettes, and that was three weeks ago. Although the temptation is back again now, I'm holding out ok. |
