If you don't feel hurt when dumped then you probably weren't really in a relationship to begin with. If you keep your walls up too high for anyone to get in and hurt you then there is no way to let someone in enough to love you.

what should be your attitude in a relationship so that u dont feel hurt when you are dumped???????? Pretend to be more into the relationship than you really are |

If you are calculating an 'attitude' to avoid getting hurt than you are not investing yourself in that relationship.
It's unfair to the person you are with to bring that into a relationship. A person who is this afraid of getting hurt probably should not look for relationships and just date without commitment. |

I like ridingdubz philosophy on this point. Pain is a necessary catalyst of personal growth. You have a choice. Avoid pain and atrophy altogether. Or you can confront it-- advance through it-- learn to negotiate it, and maybe find a reward at the end of the trial.

if you have confidence in yourself as an INDIVIDUAL no one can ever hurt you in an emotional sense be seeing you

An attitude?
How about the position that you do the best you can every day. That you listen, and love, and act out of empathy and respect. That you show your feelings through actions and always do everything you can do to make your partner happy without losing yourself. If it ends, you cherish the times you did have and learn what you can from why it ended. Then look look forward to the next opportunity. Be happy with what you have, and then be happy with what you had... if need be. |

what should be your attitude in a relationship so that u dont feel hurt when you are dumped???????? I would never enter into a relationship where I had the expectation of being dumped. If you are in a relationship and you try to have an attitude in preparation for getting dumped then you already have doomed the relationship |

Call me crazy, but I just can't see someone wanting to get in to a relationship with a man or woman who had the attitude that they were going to be dumped at some point. How depressing! If I ever got stuck in something like that I'd give you what you expected from the beginning and tell you to hit the road.
