family vacations! Dad throwing everyone in the car and heading out to parts unknown. So what were some of your vacations like?

i grew up in a single parent household. it was just me and my mom so i didn't get dragged anywhere.
but mom and i used to go to vegas together to run around and stay in the new hotels and see the shows and architecture and we went to the beach alot. all over the southern and central california coast. mom always loved san diego. we did zoos and sea world and marine land (may it rest in peace) heh good times. |

never really went out of state,least not that I can recall.but really dont think we ever did

Well my memory starts after my parents were divorced...no real family trips, but me mum took my sister and I to the park quite often to feed ducks...that is really about all aside from going to Wyoming to visit family.

we even went to Boston one year. Boring. |

We piled all seven of us kids in the family station wagon, hooked up the pop-up trailer and drove across country and hit 43 out of the 48 lower states......And we were part of a caravan.......my aunt had her five in the car and my other aunt and uncle had their four, some of the best memories I have...

Vegas flew went to circus circus Yeah I stayed at Circus Circus for 3 weeks while my dad drained my mother and step dad of as much money as possible, my sis and I held hostage for the most part, ahh the good old days. I won't begin to tell the story of disneyland |

We went to Florida every year to see my grandparents and to go to the beach and do all the touristy stuff.

i lucked out because i always have a friend on these trips because her mom and my dad are good friends so we do all the vacationing together.. one year we went up to intercourse,PA lol i got a hoodie that says intercourse is everything i thought it would be lol.. he didn't like it.. but anywho it was funny because on the way home my dad let me drive his BRAND NEW jeep down the pa turnpike.. just my luck i start getting pulled over i'm sh!tting a brick here trying to figure out why i got pulled over.. turns out the cop couldn't see the temporary plates in the window because the jeep was so dirty from going down all those dirt roads in pa

ROAD TRIP!!!!!
West coast to North Carolina in 3 days. Day trips around Colorado, Colorado to Missouri to visit Mom's family Colorado to Rhode Island, up into Canada, down onto Michigan, Mount Rushmore-all the same trip Colorado to the prison at Fort Leavenworth, to visit a step brother in prison. Colorado to California a couple times. Stucky's- Next exit-63 miles. Pecan Logs and Fireworks. There used to be a great stretch of road from Las Vegas into California over 100 miles, no exits or services. |
