Chores have to be divided up somehow. Some things will naturally go to the woman, as long as she doesnt have a chip on her shoulder about being a woman. When my girlfriend moves in with me, she already knows she is taking care of birthday and christmas cards, and she is happy with it. That is more her thing than mine, and id bet than in general it will be more the thing of the woman rather than the man. There is little point in , say, me doing the laundry and leaving her to do the heavy stuff. I can do that quicker and easier, and generally that would be the case for men(before you start reminding me that you can heavy stuff yourselves). You cant put a definate label on what is a man or a womans job, but you gotta be sensible about things.

That what i am talking about:thumbsup: ..thanks for your views

when it comes to household chores...

The "blue jobs" -household tasks that women say are the responsibility of men.

"Pink jobs" -household tasks that men say are the responsibility of women.

for e.g

Retrieving items from the loft
investigating strange noises in the night,
removing lids from jam jars and
unblocking toilets

remembering birthdays,
packing school lunches and
replacing toilet rolls when they run out.

OMG there is a definition to the tasks in life still on this planet....

What happens if you do it all are you a camelion of pink and blue? LOL

I'm not offended by having jobs designated as male/female. The part about expecting me to do something is what would bother me most. If he 'demands' that I put dinner on the table, then we most likely have a problem. Otherwise, cooking a meal for my guy (and taking care of him in general) is something I actually like to do.

I've no problem doing the majority of the washing, cleaning and perhaps the cooking. However, if the lawnmower breaks, the screen door falls off, or I hear an odd noise in the car, I'm most certainly going to ask my boyfriend for help fixing it.

It isn't that I 'can't' or 'won't' do it but rather that it's nice to have someone around to take care of the things about which I don't know much. Plus he IS stronger than me, there's not much I can do about that; most men ARE stronger than most women.

What's really nice too is that if you're the person who usually does the cooking and he gets home and sees it hasn't yet been done, it'd be nice if he took the initiative and started something on his own, or switched it up once in awhile, just to show that he appreciates you and isn't taking anything you do for granted.

I honestly do not mind getting dirty. I will attempt ALMOST any job. there is on job that does come to mind that that I HATE, It grosses me out. And that is the garbage's at work. They ALWAYS have stuff dripping from it and it's wet. And it is that garbage wetness that I can't stand. This brown gungy oozz crap just makes me sick .
