Tried it on XP - it's ok. Firefox is still the best option I can find for a mix of usability and performance on a windows/linux box. I love safari as well but it ran like crap on winXP and I can't use it on linux either.

Use Google Chrome if you like to be tracked by google and by government now, then by anybody who pays google in the future. For "your own good", of course.
(No, you can't turn off tracking feature.) |

I love being tracked by Google! It's very flattering to be cared about.
I use Opera on occasion when I'm dealing with lots pages and need to resize images and use hand gestures and such, but I really like Chrome. Chrome is excellent at handling web applications, so if you plan on using any of Google's other features like Documents for instance, I highly recommend it. Also loads other Java heavy sites like Facebook more quickly. It's open source, so every improvement they make should ideally transfer into other browsers over time. Take my opinion with a grain of salt, I'm from the internet myself. |

I got too much used to Firefox. I got chrome, I used it like twice, but then I couldn't find my favorite icons and just the way I customized Firefox for myself, won't let me go.

(No, you can't turn off tracking feature.) They can track you anyhow, regardless of what you use. |

Well, perhaps I should have used a different term.
With Chrome, when you click on a link, the request does a look up into Google database first! Then, if google has decided that you "have no need to see that website", it returns with 404. What better way to "seamlessly" eliminate anyone you want, anytime, without even owning the dns or anything else. Ask yourself why google made it so that users can not switch it off? |

Many of them I would not like having to do without. |

I used Google Chrome for a while, but there are too many add ons on firefox that I'm missing there.
I might go back to Chrome after a while when it has improved in that respect. |
