When I was just out of high school, I ate too many meals of them one weekend. It took days to get that onion smell off of my hands. Sure it wasn't in your hair? The smell was probably everywhere. |

Gotta change the sheets after a night like that. It wasn't that bad. The smell might have been lingering in my nose. It definitely was under my fingernails. I think I ate them two night in a row and for a lunch. I will never ever do that again. I was young then. lol |

I don't understand why the FDA hasn't intervened. I mean someone should have pulled the plug on White Castle (oh...and Krystal, too) years ago.
Everybody KNOWS their stuff causes gastric distress, projectile vomiting and diarrhea. Yet people still go back for more. I don't get it. Remember way back when ONE Jack-in-the-Box restaurant got in trouble for giving a whole buncha people food poisoning? Oh...yeah...that was front page news for weeks on end until people nicknamed the place Yack-in-a-Box and eventually avoided it all together. But not just the one that started it all...nooo...every single one of them. Nationwide. Oh, but not White Castle and Krystal. It's almost turned into a dare: who can go there, eat, and live to tell. |

In th eearly 60's you could get 20 burgers for $1.00.. Living in Columbus, Ohio, every Friday after work we would get a bag of burgers to eat on the drive home(100miles) so we could still go out with our friends.. Thanks for the memories!!!

I mean real White Castle burgers at 3:00 a.m. after a good binge. in chicago there's another place that's great and cheap. it's called maxwell street and it's perfect for soakin up alcohol after a night of drinkin. there's a few of them spread out across the city. i miss that stuff. |
