Topic: When people are too nice | |

Are they fake nice or genuine? Usually you can tell... the first is horrible, the second makes me want to be a better person. Its good when you find a genuinely good person that inspires you to be a better person Although I tend to get labeled as a little too "little Mary Sunshine" as it is, so maybe I should be looking for the baddies? Cuz "sometimes bad is good." I guess that would depend on what they are "bad" about |

I think being nice at all makes people think I have "Welcome" tatted on my back. You have a history of people trying to use you as their doormat? Oh God yes! I wear my tread marks well! |

When people are "too nice" .... They usually have an alterier motive |
|
|
|
When people are "too nice" do they lose your respect? Not with me- the only ones I don't respect are the ones who are total a-holes. I HAVE been disrespected for being "nice" at times, though. |

They don't lose my respect unless they are idiots about it. For the most part they just annoy me.

They don't necessarily lose my respect. But one of my ex g/fs was WAY too nice. She wouldn't argue with me about ANYTHING.
To me...being too agreeable is about insecurity. |

When people are "too nice" do they lose your respect? I dont lose respect for someone who is way too nice. I do however think that bein overly nice can be detrimental to the persons personal growth. Not just cos they need to learn how to say no, and how to express their opinions, but also because some ppl around them may misread their lack of confidence in self (being ppl pleasers), as fake. Only very few things make me lose respect for ppl, but more so if it has involved me directly. |
