I buy jeans from there, for when I work on my derby cars. All ways getting them coverd in oil and getting weld burns on them. So there is no reson to pay for new jeans.

I can afford to buy at "better places" but I personally know what Goodwill does, and who they help, and that's where I want my money to go.
This table, that this computer is sitting on, came from a place that is a lot like Goodwill. I also shopped at St. Vincent DePaul, and Gospel Thrift Stores, and others. If you're ever near to Prescott, Arizona, visit the Stepping Stones thrift shops. Goodwill in action is goodwill in spirit...under any name. |

Yes, and have donated to goodwill..nothing wrong with "treasure" hunting..who doesn't like a "good deal", and "doing good", at the same time?

no, but i do drop off stuff about 6-7 times a year.

Aside from socks, underwear, and T-shirts I buy from musicians and organizations (in order to give them money and further their cause), just about all of my clothing comes from thrift stores.
Not to mention books and other random goods. |

buy things at Goodwill? Hi! How are you Cutie? I haven't boughten anything at Goodwill but twice a year I clean out my closts and drawers for clothes, cookware, and anything that is acceptable for a donation. I love looking through the books though. I haven't found anything yet but there is always a treasure waiting for a new home! |

I like to just look through and see what is there. I buy some clothes there. I get some music there. I donate a lot of things there also.

I drop off.

Not as a general rule, but I can appreciate those who do, especially in this economy. Can't blame 'em.
I remember working roof jobs out of town all summer one year. There was a thrift shop that we would go buy jeans from for $3-$5 a pair. If they got ripped, full of tar, destroyed....so what? We were out 3 or 5 bucks. Throw 'em in the bonfire and go buy another pair. |

Yes, I do, especially lately. Been buying my jeans and work slacks there. I am losing weight and don't want to pay full price for a pair of pants that hopefully I won't be able to wear very long.
Saving my money so that when I get to my goal size I can go on a shopping spree and change up my wardrobe. |
