How do you go about meeting and getting to know people online, do you live in front of a screen and wait for things to happen? and then does that not affect how your interpersonal skills mature? What comes next after you have messaged each other a couple of times, when and how do you take it to the real person level? just some questions responses are greatly appreciated.

every person and every relationship is different. what won't work for some works just fine for others
you just have to play it by ear and try not to screw it up too badly (women expect us to screw it up so they are kinda understanding about it) |

Yup you got it biggg dogggg just sit in front of the screen along with typing, and posting, and being rejected, having to deal with some that do not click, others who do. Its all part of the experience. Just cruise along with it instead of getting your hopes up. When it happens it happens when you least expect it! |

I usually email for awhile and then graduate to the phone. If things go right, we meet somewhere. |

ah you just get lucky. Someone either sees you or you see them and then you go from there.
I met someone on here and it was a total accident |

After we talk for a little while I meet them at a motel for a bootycall |

It's like fishing, maybe you get a trophy, maybe you get a mudsucker. All depends on what you put in it.

How do you go about meeting and getting to know people online, do you live in front of a screen and wait for things to happen? yeah I would prefer this one if I could: and then does that not affect how your interpersonal skills mature?
NOpe. I've done the usual bar scene/dance club/unexpected encounter many times. Still doing it, but things are not going the way they used to. Meanwhile I'm practicing my writing skills and since I can't show emotions, it really comes down to be to writing. It has Its advantages and shortcomings. For example I'm editing this post, so most people will see the whole thing written in one post, but talking, you can't really 'edit' what you have already said or not said. What comes next after you have messaged each other a couple of times, when and how do you take it to the real person level? just some questions responses are greatly appreciated. If you are really interested in her and so is she, then it shouldn't be a problem, it comes naturally. Of course if you aren't or she isn't, then it's obvious what's gonna happen. |

All (or most) of the above but eventually you'll want to meet in person, IMO.

Getting to know people in a venue like this one is actually a fairly simple process, provided you're willing to put some time and effort into it.
There are a lot of great people on this site, and, over time, you can really develop a rapport with those you communicate with here, both in the forums and through other methods, if you choose to do so. It's not an overnight thing, though. It takes time for people to get to know you, and for you to get to know them, and to establish the level of comfort that facilitates a greater level of communication. For me, personally, I've discovered that dating sites don't work for me as "dating sites" -- the kind of person I'm looking for, as a relationship prospect, probably isn't going to be here. But I've made some great friends on this site, and that works for me. I don't really need to meet anyone in person to enjoy the site and the people. |

hey this is like a free dating site bro. it is what u make of it. people seem to join here and just expect to stumble across a date as though it were a rock in your path. just feel it out and play it by ear. expect nothing and just roll with it. u cant force it. stay active and dont be afraid to shoot off a few mails if you wanna start something. i have yet to meet anyone here but came close. if that counts for anything.

I don't expect too much, am just feeling things out. Hard to get into a new way of meeting people when you're so used to meeting themin real life.
