Spider> Greek translations occured after the Council of AD 300.
How many of the listed manuscripts are in Arimaic? If you continually reference the same documents that were changed and or accepted at a council that occured 300 years after the fact you are simply bringing nothing to the table. Nothing from nothing leaves nothing. |

Pauls letters were to the Greeks...they were written in Greek. Pauls letters were later translated into Aramaic, but they were by no means originally in Aramaic. Aramaic was the language of many of the Hebrews, but Paul was speaking to the Romans. Greek was the language of trade, so it was the most widely spoken language at the time. Even if you look into the Old Testament, only Daniel and Ezra were written in Aramaic. |

Abra said that Jesus was a man just like Dr. M. L. King.
Dr. King was a Baptist minister, he preached the Gospel of Jesus. He called Jesus his Lord and Savior. The theme of the Holy Bible is Love... Below is an excerpt from one of Dr. Kings' sermons. This principle stands at the center of the cosmos. As John says, "God is love." He who loves is a participant in the being of God. He who hates does not know God. So American Christians, you may master the intricacies of the English language. You may possess all of the eloquence of articulate speech. But even if you "speak with the tongues of man and angels, and have not love, you are become as sounding brass, or a tinkling cymbal." You may have the gift of prophecy and understanding all mysteries. You may be able to break into the storehouse of nature and bring out many insights that men never dreamed were there. You may ascend to the heights of academic achievement, so that you will have all knowledge. You may boast of your great institutions of learning and the boundless extent of your degrees. But all of this amounts to absolutely nothing devoid of love. But even more Americans, you may give your goods to feed the poor. You may give great gifts to charity. You may tower high in philanthropy. But if you have not love it means nothing. You may even give your body to be burned, and die the death of a martyr. Your spilt blood may be a symbol of honor for generations yet unborn, and thousands may praise you as history's supreme hero. But even so, if you have not love your blood was spilt in vain. You must come to see that it is possible for a man to be self-centered in his self-denial and self-righteous in his self-sacrifice. He may be generous in order to feed his ego and pious in order to feed his pride. Man has the tragic capacity to relegate a heightening virtue to a tragic vice. Without love benevolence becomes egotism, and martyrdom becomes spiritual pride. So the greatest of all virtues is love. It is here that we find the true meaning of the Christian faith. This is at bottom the meaning of the cross. The great event on Calvary signifies more than a meaningless drama that took place on the stage of history. It is a telescope through which we look out into the long vista of eternity and see the love of God breaking forth into time. It is an eternal reminder to a power drunk generation that love is most durable power in the world, and that it is at bottom the heartbeat of the moral cosmos. Only through achieving this love can you expect to matriculate into the university of eternal life. |

However, please note also that he was preaching this to a nation of Christians who were full of bigotry and hate. Hmmm? Someone’s not getting a message. I wonder who that might be? |

love
joy peace patience kindness goodness faithfulness gentleness self-control Love If I speak in the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal. If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but have not love, I am nothing. If I give all of my possessions to the poor and surrender my body to the flames, but have not love, I gain nothing. Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails. But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass away. For we know in part and we prophesy in part, but when perfection comes, the imperfect disappears. When I was a child, I talked like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. When I became a man, I put childish ways behind me. Now we see but a poor reflection as in a mirror; then we shall see face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I am fully known. And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love. michael |

I was actually suggesting that the bulk of the Christians in America weren't getting Christ’s message of love. They were still quite prejudiced and intolerant of minorities at the time Rev. King was giving his message. THE message is love and tolerance. I ‘got it’ a long time ago. I hope you did too. |

Just to repeat others. Religion is a cult. But there is Truth with
God. Regardless of what you do traditionally, it is the Word that you can always trust. I just came about this. Now I understand the mixed emotions when discussing and using the term "Religion". I must admit though, how science proves more and more that events listed within the bible are to be more and more correct. Although I have also learned, that if you find truth, you should be content, and not be distracted by opposing thoughts or speech. |
