I'm not going to feel obligated to give him my phone number just because he gave me his, nor am I going to feel obligated to call him today, tomorrow, or even next year because he gave it to me.

I'll have to disagree about the phone number thing. Many guys seem to want to chat on the phone right away. That's not being interested. So no, I do not feel obligated to give my number out.

How is wanting to actually converse with real voices and more of a natural human interaction not being interested? I think talking on the phone reveals more of how well the two may click and get along. I don't see much harm in talking on the phone not long after chatting online. Online talking is easy because you can have long pauses without it being awkard. You can change the subject easily, use smiley faces, etc. But talking on the phone can be way different. So why not go ahead and see if you'd be wasting your time or not?

Obviously I don't mean give your number out in the first message, but if you've talked for a week and someone gives you their number, don't continue talking ro them on the site like the # exchange never happened. It's rude, and the phone number owner may get tired of waiting...
