I think it depends on what you write and who happens to be on wheather a long or short post is read. If someone has a genuine issue and wants input they may or maynot like a lengthy answer.
I have been surprized a few times where people write and say they appreciate certain posts. I feel if someone assumes you are not capable of contributeing information because you don't make a huge effort to proofread for spelling or grammer it is their loss. If they want to be a Spelling/grammer Natzi then let them put down their dime for a professional who has their work edited. I think sometimes it is fun just to cut up and joke around rather than give a real opinion. |

If you are concerned about spelling errors use Firefox as your browser. It has a built in spell checker.
Short and to the point is usually the norm on the General Discussion Forums. Political & Current events usually are more verbose. There some like to use a lot of verbiage.

Yep, short attention spans sometimes. People like insightful and thoughtful posts as long as you can sum it up in two sentences. I think a lot of it is because folks have gotten used to the abbreviated language with chat rooms, IM and texting.

I'd love to blame it on being too used to the abbreviated language with chat rooms, IM and texting as an excuse. But I'd be lying through my teeth! I've faced the fact that I am just plain scatterbrained!
