my understanding of it is,
what ever you create you must experience the effects although this wording can mean several things, it is the wording i like best, it implies a complete fairness to everything that has and will happen to us, as well as everyone else. and gives us responsibility for our life, and future lives if you believe in reincarnation any thoughts? insights? agree? disagree? |

Karma is selfish.
I do good because I want to not because there may be some reward for it. And I've seen to many $hitty things happen to good people to believe in Karma. |

If you do good with some expectation of reward, it doesn't count toward your karmic "reward," so to speak. Building good karma takes selfless actions, with no thought or expectation of anything.

Actually that is not quite accurate, the Americanized version is different from the original.
