Why do women with a little age on them constantly post pictures of themselves from 6-8 even 10 years ago? Relationships of any kind are based on honesty and trust - the honesty comes from the start and the trust has to be earned. I would think a pic from the past is a little deceiving, yes?

Not everyone is ashamed of their age. There are still some of us that are still keeping it real out here.

I would like to say that my photo is the most current one that I have and I look exactly the same. Truthfully, I wouldn't post a picture of myself if it didn't show me as the way I truly look now. To me that is being dishonest and how could anyone expect to start any kind of relationship based on dishonesty.

There is a guy I've talked to a couple times who posts pictures from at least ten years ago. I find men do it just as much as women. This is a true statement! I don't think this is a gender issue. It has more to do with confidence. I post more pix than the norm -- I think -- so that there is nothing to hide, and I try to use pix that are no more than one year old. Many times I have met online dates in person only to find they are heavier or they are not as they appeared in their pix. I'm leary of guys that only post one pic now. I'd rather see a few of his settings, styles, and angles. There isn't a double standard anymore among posting pictures. Both sides of the gender equation may have a cross to bear. That being said -- I am proud of my age and with the way I look. I turn 43 on Tuesday, and I feel wonderful. As long as people are honest from the start, another person will embrace everything about them if there is chemistry from witin. What they consider to be flaws, might be sexy to another! Melody |

I put up new pics every two months...my current ones are a week old....why not be honest...if you ever meet they are going to know obviously...so let them like you for you and not who they think you are.
