Love --

What is the difference between love that you feel for a friend/relative and love that you feel for someone you are *in love* with?

P.S. I repost this here because the way we think about love is sometimes also heavily affected by our religion.

I agree with Jermey from the other thread. The only difference is sexual desire. Period.

Love is love. Period.

Romance requires the exchange of bodily fluids. laugh

Some studies show that a woman in "love" is the same as if she is addicted to drugs. Now actually think about that and some of the women you have known, before writing it off.

Is that 'love' or infatuation?

Yup, I have first hand experience with this aspect of a persona. I dont know if its gender specific, I have seen guys act the same, I do think it is a highly emotional response.

Is that 'love' or infatuation?

I think so. But again defining emotions is a sticky business isn't it?

Actually defining emotions is easy.

Getting people to own up to the fact that they qualify for a particular definition is the hard part. laugh
