Topic: "Get Back In There!"... | |
---|---|
...is a phrase I commonly use when something falls out of my purse, or whatever....
Do you talk to inanimate objects? Even worse...do you swear at them? What do we hope to accomplish? |
Sure, I do it frequently.
When I drop my car keys -- "Hey, get back here!" When something is balancing precariously -- "Stay. Sit. Heel." When something insists on falling, no matter where I put it, I'll end up just throwing it on the floor or ground and say, "THERE, you S.O.B.! You want to fall so bad? FALL, then!" |
I sometimes do it, but I get sick and tired of the smarta$$ comments I get back in return!

When I walk around with my keys in my hand searching for them I am often caught saying "where the D-i-c-k-e-n-s are they"
Notice how I couldn't write the famous writers name on this site without being sensored |

Like...is it odd that when I look at your pic on the screen, and say, "You clever little mother****er!" that's talking to an inanimate object?
Right? I mean...it's not like you hear me. |

I'd stare in wonder as I would watch my ex wrenching on the Harley...first, he'd start mumbling...then he'd start cussing...then he'd proceed to beat the bike up...as if that might be the mechanical cure...
Don'tcha know that you gotta be sweet to the machines? I'd purr to my car "C'mon Betsy...I know you can do it, Baby...it's only a coupla' more miles to the gas station..." She never let me down... |
