Dunno, never had the chance...but I hear there are primetimes for dumping along the holidays, probably because they need to save money for family! Or because they have to settle a number of lawsuits pending towards the rampant running naked along the streets!

I think it depends on the woman to a certain degree. If she has a history of expecting things, especially things that are unreasonable, then the additional stress of her expectations could cause a man to leave a woman before a holiday. If he has experienced with her during Christmas then here it comes again.

On the other hand, if the guy does not really care for her or if he is just simply cheap then I could see this happening. Everyone is a little different so I would have to say...it depends.

Some people just get depressed by holidays and that could be the reason.

valentines day isnt as expensive as christmas ...i like to time my break ups to right after she finishes cookin the thanksgiving turkey,that way i dont have to feed her and dinner is already cooked ..its all in the timing.. j/k

Guys actually look forward to the "big day" because it gives us a chance to show our sensitive side. Just don't take advantage of it or it won't happen to often and become a burden.

love is about trust,commitment,and compromise in these hard economic times money should be saved and I would appreciate those traits in a man

I think both men and women are capable of doing such things.

When I was in high school I was stood up on Valentine's Day and dumped the following day.

Usually, it's the other way around. The holiday is immaterial.
