Write...Or be with someone in prison...If they was getting out soon? I have written and do write to people in prison, but I consider them family..there is no romance in the equation I do however know a couple of people who have written and have waited and been with someone in prison, for most its a doomed relationship, they almost always go back....its kinda hard to wait 15-20 the third time around with no congegal visits...(I think I misspelled that) |

Nah.. Why take the chances of having them ruin your life the way they have possibly almost ruined theirs? People that end up in prison usually have made some really stupid mistakes in life and will most likely continue to make those mistakes when they get out. I'm not saying every single person is like that. There are some that change, but you have to decide whether or not it's worth taking that risk.

Write...Or be with someone in prison...If they was getting out soon? NO WAY! First and foremost.....they will not be able to get employment, due to their history. Second, they need a place to live.....guess what they are going to ask you next? |

To be honest I'm in that situation right now and he is a very sweet and caring person who made a bad choice. Now he's doing his time for his crime. I have also seen relationships that have worked out where the woman never met the man until after he got out of the pen, but she started talking to him while he was locked up. It does depend on the inmate/person on whether they change for the better after they get out.

Writing to someone and being with them are too different things
I write a whole bunch of people..granted most of them are not in prison but it in no way means I'm going to BE with them why not write? |

Let see....
Start a relationship with someone that has already demonstrated extrordinarily poor decision making skills. No. Let them prove they have turned things around first. |
