THE HOUSE HAS PASSED LEGISLATION THAT WOULD ORDER TROOP WITHDRAWALS
FROM IRAQ TO BEGIN BY OCTOBER FIRST

Now, if we can get it by that....well...you know who.

If there's any sanity left in this country, a troop-withdrawal timeline
will NEVER be approved, until the Iraqi government is stable.

as a soldier, i dont want to leave a job or mission unfinished when we
can see the light at the end of the tunnel.

fighting, war, is best left to soldiers who know what the hell their
talking about when they speak of success or failure.

i relate it to a car that is rattling of running rough-
unless you take it to a mechanic, let him pop the hood, turn some
wrenches it wont ever be fixed, just drop it off and wait for us to
"call you" when we're through with it.

that is the problem

let the soldiers fight the war

and keep the politicians out of it

the politicians had their chance b4 they sent in the troops

now let the troops handle it

but hey what do i know

I do not like bush or his policies.

That said congress can stuff their withdraw the troops plan up their
collective sitting areas.

Anyone remember the withdrawal from Vietnam.

Withdrawing from a combat zone while under fire is called retreat. The
moment you start you will come under fire of a intensity those boys have
not seen yet.

Politicians should make decisions for or against combat starting. Once
it starts they should stay out of the command loop until the soldiers
are done.

Unless they are willing to be the last line and put their blood at risk.

I just talked to my son about this.
He is making final preparations to return there for his third combat
tour.
He had three things to say.

1. It ain't happening... are they stupid!

2. Congress needs to stay out of our business... And tell them to put
the rules of engagement back to what it was a few months ago. Their
rules of engagement are costing us lives.

3. My commander-in-chief better veto this. Never mind he will he's not
stupid.

hey doc I did not understand the rules of engagement part of number 2
above. What is he talking about. can you shed some light on this.

I for one think we should have never gone there and we should get our
asses out of there.

I have one being sent for his third tour. He is so upset and against
this war, as is many of his fellow soldiers. Soldiers that do not
believe in what they are doing are being put in even more harms way. The
moral of so many is at an all time low. This puts them in more danger.

The Government has fed the press what it wants us to know and it is
based on lies. They give false reports about hurt and dead soldiers in
order to get the dander of the American people up so as to get more to
join the armed services. After that happens, they find it isn't what
they believed. Awol is at an all time high.

Congress is only doing (for once) what the majority of the people at
home want.

Why on earth would I want my child to possibly die for a war that is a
lie!!!? We are in the wrong place. The majority of the people dying are
the innocent.

I say, protect the ones that are there, and get their wonderful butts
home.
