My "space" page is only for my family out of town and my "actual" friends. Its how I share pics of family/friends events instead of burning discs for everyone (big family) and having to mail them all out. This way they can just save to their computer if they so wish.

That's how mine is. 95% of the people on my page are my family and the other 5% are close friends of me and my family. We post new pictures so everyone can share them, and we post bulletins of any news in the family, whether it be good or bad. I've kept more in touch with them through MySpace then I ever did by phone.

As for my friends on here, I don't have many. But I do try to communicate with the few that I have.

I talk to the majority on my friend's list in the Forums...but I try to at least make the attempt to send a personal email on holidaze...or when a topic is just soooooo incredulous, I MUST have them share in the "experience", too...bigsmile

It could very well be that she is playing one of the myspace games. You have to invite people in the various games to get better at it.

Thing is, you create friend groups and add the people that are join your friends for the game to the game group and family to the family group ect ect and you can determine which group can see what on your profile..

People assume too much about myspace.

Just asking a question: Do you "talk" to all your cyber "friends" on (at least) a weekly basis...& if not...why are they on a friend's list? what

I've only got about 40 here, and I've never solicited. Most of mine are people I know from the forums, who I've also exchanged a fair number of e-mails with, and even phone calls and snail mail in a couple of cases. A few are lurkers who never posted but decided to write to me anyway.

I don't have any regular schedule of contacts or interactions with any of them -- we just talk whenever we talk. I do think of them all as friends, in one sense of the word or another. It's not the same as being friends in real life, but I'm OK with that.

I have about 60 people on my friends list, and I have emailed each and every one of them more than once. Most of my "top friends", are friends or family in real life.

When I first signed up for myspace I had over 100 friends, but ended up deleting most of them due to no contact on their part. What is the point? Don't send me a friend request if you don't plan on sending me a comment or an email.

I very rarely even log on to myspace anymore. I mainly have it to update pics and blogs for friends and family.

Agreed... I occasionally "clean out" my friend's list when there is no contact...I'm not being rude...I'm just not a "collector"...
