I realized I must be completely inept as far as my social skills in finding a date in person, so I came to Just Say Hi (now Mingle2) considering it was a free site to find more incompatible guys to reject since I'm so impossible with my standards.
How's that for honesty?

So I decide it's time to watch a little tv and relax before the usual ringing stops and what's the first thing I see? A show recorded called celebrity crisis, and here's a clue. bobbit was the first person mentioned. 
Even more surprising was to discover that even after having his Mr. Happy shortened, he still tried to make up with her. Can't teach intelligence, and he surely didn't learn from experience. |

I was just seeing what is out there. I couldn't afford the other 'dating' sites, and I tried this one because it's free. Now I just like the company at night when I am working!

My answer is still the same as the last 47 times this thread has come up since October. Somehow, I have this weird ability to read between the lines to see the real purpose of this site, which is friendship and socialization, not DATING.
I'm here for friends, forums, and food. That's it. |

What's the real, honest to goodness reason everyone on here joined mingle? You know, stuff like just can't seem to find anyone in person, just wanted to try out the online thing, girlfriend/boyfriend just broke up with you, just trying to meet new people, you know, stuff like that. What are all of your reasons behind joining? I joined hoping to meet someone, but discovered the kind of person I'm looking for does not seem to use dating sites. But I like the people and I like the forums here, plus being a moderator is very educational. |

What are all of your reasons behind joining? i orginally joined on the advice of someone i knew from another site. i didn't use the account much at all and eventually just deactivated. then, months later, a bunch of my friends were banned/blocked/deleted from that same site and ended up here. so i reactivated my account to stay in touch with them. |
