You can't survive a crisis if you don't know the rules. You need to talk to a lawyer and find out what is required and if you can file for yourself. If you think you have a mutual agreement; list your property and who gets what;file it, and ask the judge to rule. Fileing fees are usually modest. If you submit proof that you are both living seperately and independently (Not off the government.) and have attended counseling it should go fairly easiely. Look up The Canadian Bar Association and see what information they offer. Many times they offer free law clinics.

Thanks...not worried about the details as we have discussed most and have decided on most...lawyers kept out til the end b/c we are reasonable people...more concerned with the emotional state rather than useless possesions and a house...i can be happy with little as long as it's the right person

married 7 1/2 years, became amazing companions instead of keeping up the love and intimacy...how long should u wait(don't want to be a rebound) and how long til it gets easier??? If that is the only reason you are seperated, then get back in the ring and romance each other again. Get it back. If that was all that was wrong in my marriage, and we were married 15 1/2 years, then I would have just made up my mind to get all that back. Don't waste 7 1/2 years of your life and throw it away like an old shoe. Let me tell you, divorce sucks. Save your marriage. If you became amazing companions, then turn that into amazing lovers again. |
