I'm sure I'm not alone, yet no matter what you write it seems that people just use it regardless.
The next time I see a profile with random "lols" inserted after every sentence (we'll call them sentences even though punctuation appears optional) I'm just going to scream. |

the 'lols' don't bother me nearly as much as the abbreviated words and the stuff that looks like it was spelled phonetically.

I personally can't stand that incredibly lazy "ghetto-speak" that a lot of the hip hop dolts like to inflict on us.
Instead of saying "all right!" they'll say "aiiiight!". Instead of saying stuff like "this" or "that", they'll say "dis" or "dat". They'll also make copious use of "you know what I'm sayin'!", as well, as if we'd ACTUALLY KNOW what they're saying. Leet-speak would come in at a very close second place, though. |

 i sympathize with this poster although what really grinds my gears is the use of the little smilely faces or whatever you call them...if you cant form your thoughts into at least a semi-readable sentence there may be no hope for you or society as we know it...be seeing you
