Topic: do you believe you love Jesus or think you do | |

for what my son has seen is enough evidence for me "Queene" ..well it's understanable why you would say that but that's not really evidence .. did he explain how he knew it was Jesus ..did he tell you of some new unknown knowledge that he brought back from his near death experience ..did he supply any evidence beyond it being just a dream |

Isn't it arrogant and kinda mean to suggest that someone is "delusional" for believing something.....when you don't even know them? seems to me, believing in a guy that lives in the clouds, and a talking snake are delusions. Here we go again, with the pick and choosing what everything means. . . |

I don't judge and believe the only one that can is jesus. It says alot about LOVE. Love is unconditional, I like all am a sinner, and he still loves me . Love is unconditional... that's a nice thought kojack, but many christians don't act like love is unconditional. I am gay and believe me christians were I am don't love me unconditionally nor does their god. Sorry to hear about your troubles. I don't know you and can't possibly know why you believe that neither Christians, not God loves you. But let me refer back to what I said earlier....Just because someone says a thing is so...it doesn't make it so. You are right. Many Christians are hypocrites. But love is what it is...regardless of how someone may fail to apply it. |

Nevertheless, it is possible to love someone without meeting them. I think of Halle Berry and I love her, yet I know she doesn't love me "smiles" would you love Halle Berry if she lived 2,000 years before you were born ...well it's possible that you're into older women but let's add in the fact that you never actually seen a picture of her .. |

I don't remember saying I had troubles? lmao I realize you probably didn't mean to suggest that I did, however I don't know any christians that believe in bible, that have anything but contempt for gay people. Am I troubled by that, actually if I was it was a long time ago. Now it doesn't suprise me at all... Used to it. Still I dont' know that christians know what unconditional love is. Or they think they do, but when faced with an issue they have trouble with, the unconditional goes right out the window... |

Isn't it arrogant and kinda mean to suggest that someone is "delusional" for believing something.....when you don't even know them? ljcc...well is the behavior delusional or not.. and if the answer is no ...then can you give a brief "rational" synopsis as to why it's not Sorry. I think the responsibility is yours to prove that what you say is delusional...is, in fact, delusional. You would have to know the person in question well enough to provide details as to why this person's belief is delusional. I don't really care to put any effort into disproving something that you haven't proven to begin with. What do you believe about Jesus? and why? "ljcc" ...so do you feel that this is an acceptable way as to how people should make claims of Love whether it's for Jesus in a book or for someone in life or someone off the internet ...that you feel that it's ok ... |

Some Christians are indeed judgmental and don't know what unconditional love is. That does not mean that they are all that way. And FYI.....this phenomena is not restricted to Christians. |

As children we believed in Santa Claus and the likes, and never saw them. I Love Jesus My Lord and Savior. Have I met him in person, yes daily in my prayers and lifes surroundings. The tree, the ocean, people I meet. The plane that crashed was not ALL the pilots skills. God performed a Miracle that day and saved many lives. If the US Government can print on currency " In God We Trust" then why can't we believe in what some say we can't see ? It is called faith and I am a believer. "Kojak" if you believe that God had a hand in the plane crash then wasn't it God that sent the birds into the engine if you believe that people have "Free Will" then why would you believe that God had anything to do with anything concerning that plane so how do you explain Hurricane Katarina ...God just didn't like those people |

Well it certainly is "troubling" to be persecuted. Some Christians are indeed judgmental and don't know what unconditional love is. That does not mean that they are all that way. And FYI.....this phenomena is not restricted to Christians. I don't know that I would use the word persecuted. I don't feel persecuted at all. Annoyed maybe. People killed for being gay... well that would be persecution.. Any way I agree not all christians are like that, in my circles most are not, but probably more are than are not, unfortunately. And I do realize that this isn't restricted to christians, but I would think that all religions related to the bible... though i have not focused one which ones outside the big three are. |

I believe that one has to have some measure of personal and intimate encounter in order to proclaim love. What that measure is and what type of encounter merits the bestowing of the label "love"....that is completely subjective to each person. We would also have to agree on a definition of love.....which is also....unfortunately....completely subjective. If one has had absolutely no encounter with the other person in question.....then of course it is rather delusional to assume love from the other person. Then we may be moving into the subject of faith. But if you cannot prove the lack of any such encounter...logic dictates that you cannot claim delusion. |

"Kojak" ... you can only expect from someone what is reasonable and not expect them to do insane things or lose their individuality to prove their love ... this is why if you expect their love to be unconditional is actually your way of placing conditions on their love in order to control them |
